2541-5446) MICKEY MOUSE 3-D PLATE

A limited edition (and numbered) plate produced in 1999 by the Bradford Exchange.

Measuring 7" across, "Magician Mickey" is a combination of hand cast, hand painted cold cast resin and fine hard fired porcelain.

Bringing together the intricacy of sculpture, the vividness of hard-fired porcelain and the eternal charisma of Mickey Mouse, this charming collector's plate honors the 70th anniversary (1928 -1998) of one of the most popular animated stars of all time. Against a background inspired by animators' model sheets stands a wonderfully dimensional, hand-painted figure of Mickey Mouse.

As can be seen from the photo below, Mickey, in full tux, has a fan of cards streaming from his waist high held left hand, to his head high held right hand. The cards continue from there along the right side boarder of the plate. On the left side boarder, of the plate, is a rabbit and wand. In the bowl, of the plate, are four different drawings of Mickey. - $65.00

2552-7899) THE FINAL HOUDINI SEANCE LP.

Recorded on October 31, 1936 (10 years after Houdini's death)  and narrated by George L. Boston. Featuring the voices of Mrs. Harry Houdini and Dr. Edward Saint.

A George Garabedia Production. Produced in 1975 by Mark56 Records of Anaheim, California.

Great shot on Cover of Houdini's head, 'ghostly' superimposed over a graveyard site.

This world wide final Houdini Séance took place on Halloween night, on the roof of the Knickerbocker Hotel in Hollywood, California.

This was to be the greatest attempt to pierce the unknown, and form a spirit contact that was ever conceived by mortal man. It was on this night that Mrs. Harry Houdini made the supreme effort to reach her beloved husband, Houdini.

Over 300 invited guest formed the outer circle, while 13 scientists, occulogists, newspapermen, magicians, spiritual leaders and other friends of Houdini, joined Mrs. Houdini in the inner circle.

As Dr. Saint said during the séance, "This is a Houdini night, with the spotlight of the public on Houdini; with the whole world paused to see or hear Houdini step on this side of the curtain."

Before Houdini died, he arranged a definite test of spiritualism. He devised a ten-word code which he planned to use to communicate with his wife, if possible, within ten years after his death. October 31, 1936 was the final test, the final séance.

Included with this record is a 3page print out (from a 1955 magic magazine) with all the words to this Final Séance.

Whether your belief is in spiritualism or not, you will agree that this on-the-scene recording, and the mystery that surrounds the séance will leave a doubt in your mind whether the great Houdini returned. - $50.00

2553-7536) ZINGONE’S RECORDED CARD TRICKs.

Distributed in 1939 by Magic Record Co., New York City.

This offering includes Volume 1 (three record LPs) and an fourth LP. Plus, the original album, which holds the LPs.

These, almost 10", records feature one effect on each side.

The four LPs contain the following effects:

#1"Mind Reading Trick (Coincidence)" -and- #2 "The Magic Name".

#102 "Card In Pocket" -and- #103 "Novel Discovery".

#104 "Coincidence" -and- #105 "The Grain of Wisdom".

#106 "The 'G' Man Card" -and- #107 "Revealo".

The record has a photo insert of Louis Zingone, himself.

All the above is the good news. The bad news is all LPs are cracked/broken, as can be seen in the photo's below.

Please click any 'thumbnail' photo to bring up the larger photo - then click your back arrow to return to this page.

The first photo shows the first two LPs, the second photo shows the other side of the LPs, which have been taped.

According to person, whom I purchased these from - the one side can still be played.

OK, back to the good news - in the past, when I've had Zingone LPs for sale, I had no trouble in selling them for $35.00each.

Had the LPs, in this offering, not been broken - I probably would have asked at least $150.00 for the lot.

Since this isn't the case, I will price this lot at $50.00(Four LPs -and- the album holder for the LPs)

2275-4679) KRESKINs ESP BOARD GAME

This is an unusual and SCARCE board game created by Kreskin and produced by Milton Bradley Company  in 1967.

This is a great party game where people could, with the use of the pendulum principle, "test" their "Psychosonic" abilities.

Psychosonics is the term Kreskin used to label his abilities, as he made no claims of otherworldly abilities. It is more of an attunement that can actually be cultivated.

Do you have this supernatural power? Kreskin thinks you do. You need only to develop it and this fascinating ESP game shows how!

Kreskin's ESP game will give you the opportunity to reveal your ESP powers and explore the outer frontiers of the human mind in two scientifically proven ways.

First is the MYSTERY PENDULUM, which reveals your innermost thoughts on any subject. Simply hold the end of the chain and let the pendulum hang down over the board. As you concentrate, it will swing, by itself, to answer questions with a "YES", or "NO", or "I DON'T KNOW".

Secondly, with the ESP TEST KIT, you can test and develop your ESP powers. It is a scientific measure of such ESP abilities as thought transference (telepathy) and clairvoyance.

What is included is the Pendulum (which is used in all the tests), instructions, scorecards, test cards (with colors or symbols), the game board.

The cards have been counted and checked against the instructions, the Pendulum has been checked, and the remaining items have been checked against a list in the copyrighted instructions.

The BONUS of this offering is the box lid has been Personally Signed By Kreskin:

ESPecially
Kreskin

Overall box measurements is 19"x10". - $65.00

George Joseph Kresge, Jr., better known as The Amazing Kreskin, (born January 12, 1935 in Montclair, New Jersey) is a mentalist who became popular on North American television in the 1970s. He was inspired by Lee Falk's famous comic strip Mandrake the Magician, which features a crime-fighting stage magician, to become a mentalist himself. He is still active as a live performer, and appears annually on CNN to give his New Year's Day predictions for the coming year. One of his best known tricks is finding his cheque for a performance, which he instructs his hosts to hide before each show; he has failed to find the cheque nine times. Kreskin has admitted that he has no special powers. From 1971 to 1975, his television series The Amazing World of Kreskin was broadcast throughout Canada on CTV and distributed in syndication in the United States. The series was produced in Ottawa, Ontario at the CJOH-TV studios. An additional set of episodes were produced in 1975, billed as The New Kreskin Show.

2372-9238) JIM BENTLEY -IS- HOUDINI

This poster measures 11"x17" and portrays California's own, Jim Bentley, appearing at The Curtis Theatre as:

HARRY HOUDINI, The Man, The Myth, The Magic

If memory serves, this poster is from the 1990s.

I've several photos, below, showing the poster.

The first one (and a little washed out) is an over all view of the poster, taken with my digital camera.

The other three photos are images from my scanner and much truer to the actual color of the poster. Maybe not quite as dark.

The second photo is a close up of the center of the poster.

The last two photos are close ups of the top and bottom of the poster.

This Striking Poster shows three photos of Mr. Bentley's HOUDINI.

The center photo, the famous HOUDINI glare, with right hand shadowing a portion of the face.

The photo, near the upper left corner, shows Bentley/Houdini standing next to the Milk Can escape.

The last photo, near the lower right corner, shows Bentley/Houdini being place into a Strait-Jacket.

The photo, near the lower left corner, is a photo of Houdini having just released himself from a Strait-Jacket.

The poster boast:

"Nothing on Earth can hold Jim Bentley as the Death-Defying HARRY HOUDINI"

There's some damage to the lower right corner. The poster was torn and repaired with scotch tape.

The BONUS of this offering, in the lower left corner, the poster has been hand signed twice by Jim Bentley:

HOUDINI

JIM BENTLEY

-plus-

Jim has denoted this as being a poster with a "mis print".

Although, as I look at the poster, I can't figure out what the mis-print is, unless he's referring to the extra amount of ink, the arrow is pointing towards.

I don't believe I've ever seen one of these posters offered. $35.00

LayAway is available - if this is for you, just email for details.

2307-9478) THE JUGGLER

Called "The Juggler, but in Old English, this means MAGICIAN.

This is an AUTHENTIC 125 Year Old photogravure published in 1883 by Gebbie & Co. It is printed on a heavy-weight paper and is blank on the reverse. The print is in very good condition with the image area crisp and clean. It is titled in the lower margin.

Image area 5"x10 3/8" - paper size: 10 1/8"x14 1/2". This has been professionally double matted, with a foam core back. All has been shrink wrapped. Overall measurement is: 14"x18". A standard size, just right for a ready made or custom frame.

A little history on this print:

'The actors, in the lively scene before us, various classes of society and types of mind are presented. The ladies in the foreground exhibit an amused surprise; the humbler woman beside them betrays a more serious wonderment, while the mother on her left appears to sympathize with the alarm of her children. The men in this group are disposed to be jocular over the performance. An old schoolmaster marches by with his scholars; he is absorbed in his book- possibly is seeking light upon the dark arts. Beyond him two philosophers are apparently speculating on the mysteries of mind and matter. Finally, while one of the jugglers amuses the crowd, the other does not forget to solicit their contributions; for even magicians, strange to say! cannot live without money.'

Imagine how nice this would look framed and hanging on your wall. - $125.00

Milbourne Christopher even liked this image, so much, he featured it on the content page of his book: "Panorama of Magic".

2308-1370) HOUDINI, A CIRCUS OPERA. This Poster is from Amsterdam, Holland. For you Houdini and Magic Poster Collector’s I am offering a Hard To Find Item. As a matter of fact, I don’t think I’ve ever seen one of these offered on Ebay, but I did see one hanging in the Magic Castle.

Back in 1977 HOUDINI, A Circus Opera debuted in Amsterdam, Holland. Jerold Norman played HOUDINI. The photo on the left (below) shows the 32 1/2”x46” Poster, which was used to advertise the Houdini Opera, there in Amsterdam. This is the Original Poster, not a reproduction

The poster offered here came from the Houdini Magical Hall of Fame museum in Canada, from an area which didn't get burned and destroyed. It has been Mounted on Linen. - $250.00

           (Fire on April 30, 1995)

2309-1311) CLOWN/MAGICIAN STATUE. This is a hand painted alabastrine stone clown. 6½" tall. 2310-2563) HOUDINI 8x10 PHOTOs IN DESK FRAME.

For the most part, the photo's below tell the whole story. This offering is for three different Houdini reproduction photographs.

First is a nice portrait photo of Houdini from the waist up, slight turned to his right, wearing a suit with bow tie. This is the same image Houdini used in the upper left corner of his stationery. As can be seen in the photo below, there's a great signature: Harry Houdini - Jan 31, 1914 going along the left side of the photo.

The second is Houdini's famous "Hollywood pose". Wonderful starring look by Houdini with his right hand covering part of the left side of his face. One of his most famous photo's.

The last photo shows Houdini in a three piece suit, hands in his pockets. Harry Handcuff Houdini written across the middle of the photo. Except Houdini has had some fun with his signing and only used two H's, instead of three. How clever!!

If these were a genuine photo's, they would cost you hundreds of dollars and the signed one, thousands. No one has to know it’s not real, unless you tell them....

Each comes in an ‘antique looking’ frame, would sit nicely on your desk. Plus, there's a tab on the back, should you wish to hang it on your wall. Overall size of the frame is 9 7/8"x11 3/4". Don’t want to spend hundreds? Then this is for you.... Just click on the 'thumbnail' photos below for a better look.  - $25.00(each)

The program shows some wear, but excellent condition inside. - $15.00

2313-1452) 1966 CLOWN STAMP issued by the US Postal Service. Actually you get four stamps. What’s offered here is a "Plate Block", which consist of four stamps (still attached) and the corner serial numbers. This would have come from a ‘full sheet of 20 stamps’.

As the photo below shows, it’s a very colorful and Happy picture of a Circus Clown.

This stamp was issued 42 years ago to commemorate the American Circus and the Clown.

These are as new as the day they were issued. Know someone who does Clown magic, etc. - well, here’s a great gift for them (or yourself). - $7.50

2249-7456) HOUDINI JEWELRY

Not a whole lot of description for this offering, as I think the title and photo below, pretty much explains everything.

The green holder, holding the jewelry pin, states at the top:

GENUINE AUSTRIAN CRYSTAL

At the bottom:

HANDCRAFTED

Jewelry pin measures approx. 1/2"x2 3/4".

Just another example of you never know where the "HOUDINI" name is going to pop up. - $25.00

A challenging puzzle to put together. Would even look nice framed. - $20.00

2206-8432) HOUDINI COMMEMORATIVE STAMP FROM 1951. For what was billed as the MID CENTURY CONVENTION in New York, the SAM and IBM got together and had this stamp created IN MEMORIAM of the 25th anniversary of Houdini’s passing. Measuring a little over 1 1/2”x2” (larger than our postage stamps of today), it has purple lettering and drawings of Houdini, set against an off-white background. Now 57 years old itself, this stamp offering is in virtually Mint Condition. Comes housed in a top loading hard plastic holder (not shown). - $25.00

2207-2398) THE ART OF MAGIC, Handcrafted Cloisonné' Egg

This cloisonné egg began as a hollow copper egg. Then thin strips of brass are soldered to the egg, each strip shaped by hand to create the outlines of the rabbit, doves, hat, stars, streamers, wand, etc., which make up the design. Then colored powdered glass is applied to the partitions by hand and then fired. It takes THREE applications of each color to fill the partitions completely. Lastly, the surface of the egg is polished smooth.

Egg, when on its stand, measures almost 3" in height and comes with the decorative box, which is lined with protective foam rubber. - $25.00

2208-5151) HARRY HOUDINI RUBBER STAMP. Produced from a drawing by Rick Geary, who recently illustrated a children's book about Houdini. The stamp is approximately two inches tall, one and a half inches wide. The photo below shows both sides of the rubber stamp. Beneath this, a couple impressions I made from the stamp itself. Click on the thumbnail photo to bring up a larger photo for a better look.

Now here's a gift for the person who has everything. Great for the Holiday Stocking!!! - $10.00

2179-5497) Beer Label for: HOUDINI DRAFT LAGER

Measures approx. 3 1/2x3 1/2 and is brand new, never used or torn from a bottle.

I purchased this at a Houdini-themed restaurant and brew pub, when I attended the 1992 Magic Collector's Association convention in Houdini's hometown of Appleton, Wisconsin.

HOUDINI's name across the top. Beneath this, Houdini in chains. Beneath this, hops and barley oats. Beneath this Draft Lager and the brew pubs name: Fox Valley Brewing Co. Beneath this (to the left): "Beat the bonds of ordinary beer with this superb lager". To the right: "Named after Appleton native Ehrich Weiss.."

As can be seen from the photo below, great vivid colors. - $5.00

2144-2695) HOUDINI...and Beyond

17 Years Ago, Award Winning Artist, Diane K. Sparks (no relation), did an Original painting of Houdini. From the Original, this poster was produced.

The image area measures 21 1/2"x27 1/2". The overall poster measures 24"x36", which leaves plenty of boarder area - should you wish to have the poster framed.

Poster is on a glossy paper stock with fade resistant ink.

The words: "Harry Houdini Poster" is only super imposed for this listing and isn't on the actual poster itself.

The Print shows Houdini bound in chains, while a ghostly image of his Mother looks on: from Beyond. - $15.00

2128-1344) EXTREMELY LIMITED & SCARCE HOUDINI PRINT. This "Hand Cut -and- Wood Cut" Print was produced by artist Robert Allen. A great contrast of black with one other color. Print is on "Fine Art Paper" and measures approx. 11"x16".

What’s offered here is called an "Artist Proof". These are what the artist would produce, towards the very end of their work, before making the ‘limited signed and numbered’ prints. Generally, there weren’t very many of these APs produced and certainly fewer than the numbered, limited edition commercially produced.

The Artist Proof print, here, is as MINT as the day it was made 37 YEARs AGO in 1971!!

It is also SIGNED BY THE ARTIST, along the bottom. This reads: "Artist Proof"  - "Robert Allen".

The photo’s, below, show the front side and back side, along with a close up of the work itself and the signing at the bottom. - $75.00

2115-9215) 8x10 PHOTO OF HOUDINI BEING PLACED INTO A STRAIT-JACKET

Don’t want to spend hundreds on an Original Houdini photo? Then this is for you.... Just click on the 'thumbnail' photos below for a better look.  - $25.00

I had a little trouble scanning the 14k Gold Stamp and managed to get a 'somewhat' reflective image with my digital camera. So, when you look at the photos below, please bear in mind the stamp, when held in a certain position, will show a dark image and when in another will show a brilliant shinny image.

Accompanying the FDC is a separate bio card on "Harry Houdini, Escape Artist & Magician".
